Starlight Software Solutions Welcomes New CTO for Next Generation Launch

A leading software company for the waste and recycling industry, Starlight Software Solutions (Starlight) recently welcomed Michael Mackey as Chief Technology Officer. Mike’s addition to the team comes at the threshold of Starlight’s next generation product release.

Starlight provides robust software solutions for haulers and facility managers of solid waste and recycling materials, helping improve profitability and overall business growth through live monitoring and analysis of key metrics, and the ability to make real-time functional and operational changes that dynamically improve efficiencies. Mike’s role at Starlight is instrumental in leading the company’s product evolution and expansion which will specifically address the needs of companies operating in the roll off, commercial, residential, recycling, and portable toilet spaces. All solutions expedite the daily functions associated with dispatch, inventory management, route optimization, material profiling, facility management and more.

Mike brings nearly 20 years of deep experience in software developing and engineering leadership to Starlight Software Solutions, most recently serving AgilePQ, an IoT security software system. As CTO for AgilePQ, he successfully redesigned and launched the firm’s core product to streamline integration and user experiences. Other positions prior to joining the Starlight team include engineering, architecture, and implementation responsibilities for software start-up companies in the Seattle area which were acquired by NUANCE, AMDOCS and ADP. At Starlight, Mike will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers through a robust product roadmap and enhancing the current software system’s ability to integrate with other, third-party applications in the cloud.
